Cantilever steel structure

Surepipe recently supplied the components for a cantilever steel structure. The column was a 762 x 12.7 steel pipe and the cantilevered pipe was a 610 x 12.7 steel pipe and because of the size and weight of the pipes, traditional manual cutting and fit up prior to welding can be a slow and difficult task. Extreme accuracy of the cuts was required to ensure the parts fit together with minimal gaps, in order to comply with the welding requirements. Surepipe provided the pipe, profiled to the customer’s specifications and ready to fabricate, saving our customer a lot of time, costs and potential for rework.
